Princess River Cruises provides daytime river boat cruises for up to 150 people along the River Trent in Nottingham as well as a variety of party cruises in the evening. They also cater for private hire of their vessels for all occasions including corporate events, birthdays and student parties.

Princess River Cruises had just made a sizeable investment relocating their business to a brand new premises with a stunning new departure point and function room catering for pre sail drinks and private functions. They wanted to let their current customers know about their relocation and also attract new customers by generating excitement about their new home.

The Challenge


We were tasked with revamping the online image of Princess River Cruises by creating new branding for their Facebook pages, new content and then using paid online promotion to let existing customers and new Nottingham locals know about the move and then sell a variety of their daytime and party packages to them. Using existing email data, we also created a monthly email newsletter.

The Process


Our existing in depth knowledge of the leisure and tourism industry allowed us to quickly create high quality, engaging branding. This, coupled with a series of high quality photos allowed us to create and implement a 28 day paid Facebook & Instagram marketing campaign as well as an email campaign. Since our first month, we’ve gone on to implement a number of other email campaigns as well as a christmas marketing campaign using videography to maximise engagement.

Our marketing campaign resulted in a “glut of demand”, a refreshed and highly professional online presence and hugely increased awareness of the new venue. Princess River Cruises have switched existing marketing budget from traditional methods to online marketing.
